ANNUAL LINCOLN DAY LUNCHEON & AWARDS CEREMONY FEATURES KEYNOTE SPEAKER JAMES O’KEEFE OF OMG
O’Keefe Highlights Importance of 1st Amendment Free Speech Rights, Mainstream Media Ethics, and How New Era Of Citizen Journalism. Keeps Big Government, Big Tech, and Big Pharma In Check
MORRISTOWN, ARIZONA— The Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) honored its Precinct Committeemen (PCs) at Dillon’s Western Trails Ranch this past Saturday, headlined by James O’Keefe, Founder, OMG (formerly with Project Veritas, also founded by O’Keefe). The opening ceremonies at the patriotic event included an invocation and singing the Star Spangled Banner. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by three U.S. Military Veterans, all former Vietnam POWs: Colonel Tom Kirk (USAF-Ret.), Lt. Colonel Bob Jeffrey (USAF-Ret.), and Captain Doug Burns (USN-Ret.).
The annual event, named after Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President of the United States, celebrates and honors PCs, the membership of the Republican Party, presenting “PC of the Year” awards, one for each of the twenty Legislative District Republican Committees throughout Maricopa County, AZ, one of the top Republican-voting counties in all the nation. Additionally, the prestigious “Lincoln Lifetime Achievement Award” was presented to LD13 PC Kurt Rohrs and the esteemed “Reagan Leadership Award” was presented to LD3 PC Michelle Rugloski.
MCRC Chairman Craig Berland remarked, “Given the importance of this event, honoring our fellow PCs, the on-the-ground force multipliers of our Republican Party, ticket prices were significantly reduced in cost from prior years to make the event available to as many as possible. Altogether, the hard work and dedication of the MCRC Executive Board, Executive Guidance Committee, fellow PCs, volunteers, partners, and generous sponsors are what made the event’s all-around success possible, and for that I’m most thankful and grateful to everyone involved.”
Afterward, as a special bonus, the MCRC hosted a private meet & greet with O’Keefe for conversation, Q&A, and photos. O’Keefe encourages aspiring citizen journalists to join the OMG Citizen Journalist network. “It might be more than just some random coincidence to see the Democrat Party PC ranks so low, given how mainstream media does a lot of the Democrats’ work for them, in print, on TV, and browsing the Internet,” Berland observed.
“The 2024 Election is right around the corner,“ Berland continued. “At the MCRC, we strongly believe person-to-person, face-to-face, and heart-to-heart interactions with our neighbors in our communities are key, and that’s why we’re aiming to fill all currently vacant PC slots as soon as possible. Each and every award winner above first started out as a new PC. As the saying goes, be the change you’d like to see.” For those interested in playing a role in keeping the Republic, starting right here in Maricopa County, PC Appointment forms are available at the official MCRC website: maricopagop.org
