This budget represents a clear victory for Arizona taxpayers and demonstrates what can be accomplished when principled conservatives hold the line on spending and prioritize the needs of hardworking families. Among the highlights of the Fiscal Year 2027 budget:
$1.45 Billion in Tax Relief returned directly to Arizona taxpayers.
No tax on tips and no tax on overtime pay, allowing workers to keep more of what they earn.
Expanded child tax credits and a new childcare deduction to help working families.
An additional $6,000 income tax deduction for Arizona seniors.Full tax conformity with federal tax relief provisions, making Arizona the national leader among states with divided government.
2.5% reductions in state agency spending, ensuring government lives within its means just as Arizona families do.
Elimination of more than 1,000 unnecessary government positions and the sale of excess state-owned office space.
Stronger safeguards against fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicaid and SNAP programs through enhanced eligibility verification and accountability measures.
Increased funding for border security and fentanyl interdiction efforts.
Ongoing support for law enforcement, including salary increases for correctional officers and operational funding for public safety agencies.
