MCRC Member-at-Large Candidates

Mandatory Meeting January 13, 2024

Joanie Colson - LD27

Joanie is a Christian Conservative who believes the US Constitution is, and always has been, the bedrock of our Republic and strongly believes the grassroots efforts of Patriots will make our country great again.

Our rights and freedoms as Amercians are slowly being taken from us. As with many people Joanie doesn’t like to see this so, in 2020, she stepped up to get involved to make America Great Again!

With her education background she has a strong understanding of what is going on in our schools. Some of the things that need to be addressed are the political influence of the teacher’s unions and the overreach of school boards. Joanie believes in our teachers and our students. She knows we can turn things around and we need to start with school boards.

As a Member at Large her goal is to work to vet candidates at all levels of elected positions. She is hoping to work with the MCRC as well as the LD chairs to find strong conservative candidates for the upcoming election. She has enjoyed serving as MAL and hopes to continue to bring the party together to win elections and save our county and our country.

On a personal note, Joanie is a native Phoenician. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 35 years, her son, and family. They are partial to camping, gaming and are all huge movie buffs. After teaching for 30 years in the public school, she ‘retired’ and now teaches Theatre Education at GCU.

A quote that keeps her motivated is from President Reagan as he said ‘freedom is only a generation from extinction’. Now more than ever,we need to come together to fight to keep that freedom.

Rex Ford - LD4

Greetings Fellow Republicans:

In support of my candidacy for Member at Large of the MCRC, I submit the following for your consideration.

I was born in Detroit and first came to Arizona in 1966. Barry Goldwater and I met at the Ride N Rock Ranch on Indian Bend Road in that year.  In 1973 after graduation from high school I moved here to attend ASU and graduated in 1977 with a B.S. in Political Science. An employment opportunity took me from Arizona to Marion County, Florida.

Florida was Bright Blue when I arrived there. Registering to vote, new residents were coerced to register Democrat. I proudly registered as a Republican and my mission began. My first primary election day came. My ballot card was held up to the light by the poll worker to see how I had voted. It was at this time that I knew that I would become a lawyer and focus on Election Law as a part of my legal career.

Because of this, I worked and became an integral part of both the County and State Republican Party. I was elected and re-elected as State Committeeman and was elected as an alternate delegate to two national conventions. State Chairman Jeanie Austin appointed me as the Ballot Security Chairman for the party.

I held leadership positions in numerous campaigns including U.S. Sen. Paula Hawkins (1980,1986), Reagan for President (1980), Reagan Bush (1984), U.S. Sen Connie Mack (1988) and many local winning campaigns.

Both my legal and political acumen were recognized by the winning Bush 41 campaign, and I was appointed Associate Deputy Attorney General in 1989 at the Justice Department. The Hatch Act precluded any further active political activity; however, I was still able to financially support candidates and did so from 1989 until my retirement as a Federal Immigration Judge in 2019. I returned to Arizona in 2021 and picked up where I left off.

Currently, I am a licensed attorney (Florida) and serve as a consultant and a Corporate Board Member of Lafayette Instrument Company. I serve as a PC for LD4 and was appointed in 2023. I am all about wining elections and bringing people together. In unity there is strength. My mission is to return Arizona to the Ruby Red State that it once was working together.

Jeff Greenspan - LD4

Jeff Greenspan is a Precinct Committeeman, Precinct Captain and State Committeeman in LD4.   He was first elected as PC in 2002.   Jeff served as MCRC 2nd Vice Chair from 2008-2011, having been endorsed by Joe Arpaio in 2008 as part of the Constitutional Conservative slate, and currently serves the MCRC as a Member at Large.

Jeff is running again Member at Large again in 2024 as part of the Ultragrassroots team of conservative patriots to continue the fight to beat the Dems.  Jeff and the team intend to bring an end to the bickering in the party and laser-focus on driving voter registration and  empowering PCs with tools and training they need to canvass their neighborhoods, driving every Republican and Republican-friendly vote for Republican candidates to overwhelm and beat Dems up and down the ticket in 2024!

Politics is simple.  Support your principles, show up, work hard with your fellow PCs, friends, and allies and win.  That’s how it works when elections are fair.    They have not been, beginning with the 2018 election when in Maricopa county votes were no longer reported reported by precinct workers with representatives from all parties in agreement.  Since 2018, all ballots have been sent to be counted by the government behind barbed wire on unauditable systems.  This is unacceptable and must change.  Together we will change it.

As a party we must message freedom and prosperity vs tyranny and government dependency which destroys prosperity, income and our currency.  We must focus on self-governance and national self-reliance. Never give up.  Never give in.  Never compromise our Republican principles.

Please do not hesitate to contact Jeff anytime at jeff.greenspan.mcrc@proton.me

Chris Hamlet - LD9

Chris Hamlet is a God-fearing America first grassroots conservative, native Arizonan, originally from Globe. Loves this Constitutional Republic that God has so graciously blessed us with. Served as an Airborne Medic in the United States Army. Single father of 2, an ambassador for truth serving God and fighting for this country and our children.

Managed #1-ranked crews in size from 5 to 35 in the telecommunications industry for 13+ years. BS in Technical Management and currently serving on 2 different parent’s groups within the Mesa school district, lifetime DAV member, serves as a head usher at his church, Precinct and State Committeeman, and elected Southeast Zone Chairman for LD9. A tireless and staunch activist, he shows up to every battlefield possible to speak out against evil, corruption, injustice, and tyranny. Chris recently garnered national attention by exposing a teacher in Mesa Public Schools who was consecrating our children to the Devil by holding a pitchfork over their heads while he chanted “Hail Satan.” As a result, this teacher was forced to resign once his evil act was made public. Chris also recently organized a protest at Mesa High School that contributed to defeating the unnecessary and frivolous $500M bond for Mesa Public Schools.

Chris ran for school board for Mesa Public Schools in 2022. During that 14-month campaign, Chris saw 1st hand how broken and corrupt this system is and what it takes to win this war between good and the evil that is currently running rampant in Arizona. It takes servant-minded leaders; a team of America 1st patriots, soldiers in God’s Army who put God, Country, and family above all else. Chris believes that this MAL election is critical in order to continue to hold the line at the MCRC and never again let the establishment have the majority.

Jennifer Hawkins - LD13

I am a devoted Christian, committed Republican and small business owner with the hopes of representing you as a Maricopa County Republican Party Member at Large. Upon introduction to activism, I immediately volunteered to become a precinct committeeman, which then led to becoming a state committeeman, as well as being an active member in the Chandler Republican Women’s club. In Legislative District 13, I currently serve as the Corresponding Secretary. I am laser focused on recruitment, precinct committeemen engagement and aiding local candidates with their campaigns.

As an alum of the Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series, I hold the values of leadership and dedication with strong conservatism in all my efforts. I am an advocate for working together to accomplish our shared goals and understand the need for the party to elect the best, most effective people who represent the majority.

I have worked closely with several elected officials and have developed a good reputation amongst our leaders as honest, dependable, trustworthy, and committed. I believe in getting back to the basics within the Republican party and I believe that those who are engaged in civic dialogue are the very people that change the course of history. I am committed to working with all of you to make MCRC strong, effective, and great again!

Diana Jones - LD22

Diana retired from 25 years civil service and 20 years in the AF Reserves in 1994 to be a stay-at-home mom. She was married 45 years and adopted two wonderful daughters before recently being widowed. Diana has resided in Arizona since 2013 and in LD 22 (old LD 19) since 2017.

Diana’s Ham radio license became particularly valuable when she became a volunteer with the Vacaville CA police dept as part of a special crime unit.

Diana was a member of the PTA at her children’s schools. She also volunteered as a classroom parent and at the Millennium High School library.

She was founding member of the TEA Party in Yucaipa CA 2009–2012. She has been a PC since 2016 and is currently Secretary/treasurer for LD 22. She is also treasurer for LD Senate candidate for the 2024 election.

Diana is also a Member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She worked the US Census in both 2010 and 2020.

She worked the 2016 primary and general elections at the precinct level. In 2018 she was hired as a temporary worker in the voter registration office. She also worked the AZ 2020 election audit.

Kathleen Liles - LD10

Native Arizonan & grad of ASU & Univ. of Phoenix

Married 37 years to an awesome activist partner

25-year breast cancer survivor because I’m a fighter!

US and international career experience. 30 years in sales and sales related positions

LD10 Precinct Captain and 3rd Vice Chair

Active participant in the Request to Speak process & registering others for RTS

AZ Free Enterprise Club regional leader for the east valley

Recipient of the AZ Free Enterprise Club MVP for 2023 as well as EZAZ activist award

Deputy Registrar working with our LD10 Outreach team to make more opportunities to register Republicans

Driver of the fight to defeat the Mesa Public Schools Bond & Override initiatives. Developer and driver of strategy and tactics resulting in defeat of the $500M bond with a narrow miss on the override. Worked with multiple LD leaders, PC’s and other volunteers to make over 3,000 calls to Republicans, send emails, write and mail postcards, distribute palm cards, visit charter schools, post social media, and plant signs. Presented at Republican clubs, precincts and LDs to get the vote out.

I believe the people own the process of government, not the tyrants in office but we have fallen asleep at the wheel and the radicals have grabbed the opportunity to push us in the wrong direction with divisive actions and non-productive time wasting.

As PCs, we are the grass roots body of the Republican party, and success in 2024 is squarely in our hands. Whether appointed or elected, we represent our fellow Republicans, and it is our privilege and responsibility to recruit, train, and support PCs, register more Republican voters, get out the vote and WIN!

No one of us can do everything, but every one of us can do something! Join me in making Maricopa Great Again!

Morgan Perry - LD4

Our slate: Morgan Perry, Kathleen Liles, Carrie Cox, Rex Ford, and James Roth.

Driving mission: to secure the blessings of liberty to our posterity.

I’m a life-long conservative, Republican, and Christian, but not a holier-than-thou, let-me-preach-to-you-of-my-piety type. Just one making a practice of being faithful and humble before my God.

Like so many of us, I realized several years ago that we conservatives failed to protect our freedoms and are paying the price. Things globalist radicals have achieved:

  • an INjustice system approving crimes by leftists while fabricating terrorism charges for conservatives;
  • American cities devolved into poverty and lawlessness;
  • a southern border run by cartels conducting unparalleled human trafficking; and
  • an ever-more fascist Big Government colluding with Big Tech/Media/Pharma/Money and academia.

Conservatives must take action to reverse this. Being a person of action, I:

  • knocked on 1400 doors in 2020 &2022;
  • became Precinct Captain and my LDs 1VC;
  • prepared and sent hundreds of elections FOIA requests;
  • observed at MCTEC;
  • was poll judge during the printer/tabulator subversion and wrote a declaration included in Kari Lake’s lawsuit; and
  • am set to be an Elections Inspector for 2024.

I also served in the EGC representing my LD throughout 2023, directly witnessing the current MALs despicable conduct and voting. There, I have been a courageous voice and vote for Constitutionality, integrity, decency, cleaning elections, AND winning elections. My voting record reflects this clearly and is a STRIKING CONTRAST to the voting records of the vote-as-told-to slate opposing us.

MCRC PCs, this choice falls to you. If out Deming the Dems is your strategy, the others are your slate, no question. If securing the blessings of liberty is your mission too, WE ARE YOUR SLATE.

MCRC PCs: MAKE MARICOPA GREAT AGAIN!!

Patty Porter - LD12

Patty Castillo Porter is a Christian Constitutional conservative who became active in politics during the Trump 2020 campaign. After the 2020 General election, Patty became an ULTRA activist; canvassing voter rolls for election integrity, working as a volunteer at the Maricopa County audit of the Nov 3, 2020, election, organizing demonstrations against illegal immigration, medical tyranny, school board overreach/indoctrination, and actively participating in local and federal legislation.

Patty received her bachelor’s degree in accountancy from ASU. She has lived in the Ahwatukee Foothills area for over 25 years with her husband and 2 daughters. She’s been active in the community with church, school, sports, and Girl Scouts but never politics until 2020.

As 1st Vice Chair of Legislative District 12, Patty has been heavily engaged with PC recruitment and training. One of the endeavors she believes God inspired is the idea known as Passion Projects. For example, Save The Children is one of the passion projects focusing on eradicating sex trafficking. The team holds monthly events designed to educate the public about the horrors of this evil and is working with legislators, law enforcement and survivors to change the laws on the books and assign harsher penalties for the buyers and pimps.

Patty is looking forward to bringing her experience working boots on the ground with PCs and the community to the Executive Board of MCRC employing many strategies to GOTV and win back the White House in 2024! It’s no longer R vs D but about preserving our inalienable rights endowed to us by God, and it starts at the local level and that’s just one of the messaging strategies that we will be taking to the streets.

James Roth - LD3

I worked as a litigation attorney for 35 years. After the 2020 stolen election, I decided  to get directly involved in the political process so I could put my shoulder to the wheel to try and save our state and our country. I signed up to be a PC and was elected as Precinct Captain in Rio Verde. I was selected as the chairman of the bylaws committee which oversaw the re-writing of our LD bylaws. I am also a member of the LD’s voter registration committee and have participated, as a trainer, in the LD’s PC training program. I have also worked with a group that is trying to clean up the voter rolls.

I also worked the 2020 Audit everyday in various capacities and later worked at MCTEC to learn and observe how the Maricopa County voting system is administered. I also have volunteered, at MCTEC, as an observer in adjudication, duplication, signature verification, and the post-election hand count. Election night and the day after, I worked with the RNC Election Integrity Team’s Legal War Room.
In 2024, MCRC needs to use all the available tools to get out the Republican vote and convince Republicans to vote straight Republican in the general election. We need a strong GOP majority in the state legislature to reform our elections and to restore election integrity. We need to send federal representatives to Congress that oppose the globalists and military industrial complex. We need to unite and build alliances to achieve these goals. Throughout my life, I have been committed to community service as a volunteer. As a member at large, I will bring this same commitment to service and my years of professional experience to work with the MCRC to make Arizona the leading conservative America First state in America.
