Message from Joe Neglia, MCRC Bylaws Committee Chairman

Weak bylaws cause arguments and fights over interpretation. They divide us into factions, create ill will, and take activists away from activism. And all this detracts from our bigger goal of saving the Republic. In the past few years, we have made several improvements to our bylaws, but there is more to be done. And this is where you can help. As an MCRC PC, you are entitled to propose amendments to our bylaws. Doing so is as simple as completing the Bylaw Amendment Template, available here:

https://maricopagop.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/McrcBylawTemplateRev2.docx

and emailing it to the addresses shown on the form by Thursday, November 2, 2023 at midnight. The Bylaws Committee will perform its duties assigned by the MCRC Bylaws (Art. VIII Sec. 1(B)) and put forth bylaw amendments for consideration at our MCRC Mandatory Meeting in January.

Additionally, your LD Chair is entitled to serve on the Bylaws Committee or, alternatively, appoint a member of his LD to this committee. So, if you are interested in serving, be sure to tell your Chair of your interest. The deadline for your LD Chair to make an appointment is October 28 at 5:00 pm.

The Bylaws Committee will meet, in person, in Tempe on Saturday, November 4, and Saturday, December 9 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Good bylaws can go a long way toward preventing skirmishes. Good bylaws can help our organization run smoothly and efficiently. And these days, we need all the help we can get in our struggle against the principalities and powers of darkness and tyranny. — joe@neglia.org
